PPC is simply by paying to get your advertisements on search engine pages. It is completely different from traditional offline advertising methods. Online advertising has become more comphensive and complex with the creation of PPC.

Most of the time i would choose Google Adwords, which is the most preferred among internet marketers. Choose some targetted keywords in which you want your ad to appear in and buy those keywords, so your ad will appear on that page when people search that keyword in search engines. It is displayed as “Sponsor Ads/Links”.  An example is shown below.

Google Adwords is free to join and its the best program out there for Pay-per-click. Why do we choose Google Adwords over the others? The reason is simple, over 85% of internet users used Google for their search online. It is the largest PPC net operator on the internet. It is entirely FREE , all you need is a credit card (but it won’t be charged) Join Google Adwords now!

Details on PPC. “How do we use PPC?” Alot of people are asking this question all over the world. Well, here’s the explaination.

The position of a PPC ad on search engine is determined by three factors.

Maximum Bid. It is the maximum amount that advertisers are willing to pay when someone clicks on the ad. You will only be charged when someone clicks on your ad.

Click-Through Rate (CTR). Google based how good your ads are, on the number of times it is being displayed and how many times people click on your ad. Google uses a formula to calculate a percentage call CTR based on that.

Quality Score. Google also based how high your ad is on quality score. Alot is unknown for quality score. What we know is that your ad must be relevant to the keywords you are targetting for.

PPC marketing is alot of distinct advantages over the others internet marketing. It takes only 15mins and almost immediate that your ads will show up after you have created from Google Adwords. You will be able to see your traffic coming in as fast as 15mins! Cool ah?! Controllable. You are able to set your budget on how much you are willing to spend on a daily basis. Once your ad has reached the max quota for that day, your ad will auto stop its campaign and regain tomorrow. Hence, you are able to have a tight control over how much you are spending. Revelant. You can set where your ads appear based on the keywords you have set. This means that you are able to show your ads only to your target audience. Higher conversion rate. Pay-per-click has a higher conversion rate compared to the others internet marketing tool as your ad only shows up based on the keyword you choose, it only appears to your target audience market.

Overall, PPC is a highly effective marketing method, fast in reaching out to your target market. To be fully able to execute a good PPC campaign. You must do market research and keyword research first. It is the foundation skills that count.

Then after that, choose and buy your preferred domain names. I normally get my domain names at Godaddy. Just do a search on the search engines. Why is it important to have your domain names? One obvious reason is that your website is more easily recognise and remembered when people came across it. A good domain name strikes people in an instant and give an impression instantly. Another reason is that it makes you look more professional. You can’t deny the fact its more professional to have www.yourdomain.com than yourdomain.blogspot.com. Its all about presentation and impressions. People create perceptions and views based on your domain name. Always remember to pick a domain that people will remember.

Another strategy used is to pick a domain name based on your keyword niche. Which is why i mentioned to research on the market you are targetting, find a niche keyword and buy that domain name. Its the best if you are intending to do SEO (Search Engine Optimization)

So should you choose a catchy name or keyword name? That really depends on you and the situation. Different scenarios cater to different needs.  Know that domain names plays a part in your marketing. You gonna stick with it to the end. Once you pick something, go with it.

Last lesson i have mentioned about Market Research, today im going to touch on Creation of Website/Landing Page. Couple of questions you need to ask yourself. What type of website you need for your products or services? Or you just  need a 1 page Landing Page to pitch your sales? Different types of websites and LP (Landing Page) caters to different needs. Some people may need a multi-page website, while others just need a sufficient 1 Landing Page.

Now whats the different between a Website and a Landing Page? A website is normally more suitable for SEO (Search Engine Optimization), while a Landing Page is more cater to PPC needs (Pay-per-click). Often, you need to use both strategies to fully maximize your market potential. I will eleborate more on the next lesson.

Example of a website is what you are seeing now. http://www.nicholasyee.com whereas a landing page is often used for Affiliate Marketing. I will show you more examples later on. So know what you are doing, what you are catering, before you decide on the types of website/landing page you need. It all boils down to the first lesson #Market Research. Get your research done, find out whats the demand and competition and you are set to go. Favourite free programs used for creating and uploading websites are Kompozer and Filezilla.

Kompozer is a free tool to allow you create your website/webpages free of charge! Although i agree that its quite complicated to use in the beginning. Go to their website, get a step by step guide and familiarise yourself with it.

Filezilla is used for FTP (File transfer Protocol), primarily to upload your created web pages from Kompozer to your reseller hosting. Easy and quick to use.

Sounds simple yea? But even with that simplicity, you must put in the effort to get it started though. Remember, market research is the first key to succeed in Internet Marketing. Without knowing what your customers need and feeding them with what they don’t need is disastrous! You could risk burning lots of money without you noticing!

Market Research helps you identify opportunities. If you are launching a new product or services, do a market research first, you might realise those missed opportunities if you narrow down well enough. You not only predict how well the product/service is going to receive by consumers through Internet Marketing, you also test the market for any necessary adjustments before launching it. By doing so, you are actually minimizing your cost for a greater profit margin!

Market Research helps Internet Marketing by reducing the risk level. You are identifying what is needed and whats not for a product/services. It is important to know what the market demands rather than feeding the market with what already existed, worst still giving them what they find it redundant.

Consider the vast amount of benefits that Market Research alone bring Internet Marketing improve your business model. I emphasize again, Market Research is the crucial first step to succeed online as an Internet Marketer.
